      <description>
        <p>This program is excellent for creating XML schemas. It can also be used for creating and testing XLT files although the free version does not help much with the authoring of such files. The main feature of the program is the use of a graphical display for creating schema.</p>
        <p>Unfortunately the Home edition (the free one!) is no longer available. The 2006 version appears to be last free one. The software used to be a free download but you needed to register to unlock it. If anyone wants to try registering a new copy I can send the download to you.</p>

        <p>Don't be put off by the title - this is a good program. It can edit schemas, XLT files as well as data files. It can test out xlt files using a browser view. </p>
        <note>XML Spy is far better for schema editing however with its graphical view of the schema.</note>

      <description>
        <p>XRay2 seems to be an excellent XML editing program which enables you to see the effect of XSLT Transforms in real time. This should simplify editing of XML text if you don't have a program like InfoPath. It should also simplify development of XSLT transforms.</p>
        <note>The program is "Register Ware". You have to enter an email address to receive the download link.</note>
        <warn>Note that the program is currently a Beta version. It may no longer be free once the beta program phase is over! It states that it will only work on Windows 2000 or XP.</warn>
