        <p>This is a free RSS (Really Simple Syndication) reader.</p>
        <p>RSS shows headlines on your desktop. Clicking on the links shows the full story.</p>
        <p>Freereader enables you to view a list of the current headlines against each feed and a summary of unread headlines.</p>

      <AppName>Free Download Manager</AppName>
      <AppUrl>http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/</AppUrl>
      <description>
        <p>Free Download Manager speeds up the download process by splitting the download into a number or parallel "threads".</p>
        <p>It organises the downloads in folders under different categories (although it does not always get this right!).</p>
        <p>It allows the download traffic to be prioritised so that downloads do not hog the available bandwidth.</p>
        <p>Downloads can be scheduled with the computer shutting itself down when completed although I do not use this feature very often.</p>
        <p>I am now using this for most of my downloads. I like the visual indication as to how far the download has progressed and te summary of the download speed.</p>

      <description>
        <p>This application provides WYSIYG web page editing. Pages can be published directly from the program to the web server.</p>
        <p>The program also has good integration with stylesheets and can edit the style sheet from within the program. The effect is shown immediately on the preview window.</p>
        <p>I have just started using this program and am quite impressed.</p>
        <warn>I have found some quirks associated with having images and stylesheets in their own folders (a single folder is all right). I can live with this.</warn>
        <note>Entry created 22 June 2008.</note>

        <p>Create a Web site. Manages multiple pages and folders. Used to create parts of this site.</p>
        <note>Not WYSIWG but does have a live preview. </note>
        <note>The free version is still available but a later non-free version is also available,</note>
        <warn>Installation may (should) report a virus - one of the Javascript sample files "Six Buttons From Hell" is detected by many virus scanners. This can be removed it is not essential to the program operation.</warn>

        <p>Used to inspect and manage Cascading Style Sheets. This site uses a single Style Sheet that controls the format and layout of every page. This program was originally used to edit the styles within this page.</p>
        <note>Note: use the Lite version which is free.</note>

        <p>Displays a graph which shows transmitted and received data and confirms that the network is connected.</p>
        <note>Recommend using the Beta version which works better (not perfectly) with XP. I find I have to start it manually the first time I log in after XP has booted up.</note>
        <note>Only of value with dialup connections. Programs such as Sunbelt/Kerio Firewall (recommended) have their own graph.</note>
